Magic
Kingdom
For a serious Disney fan who has always wanted to be
Cinderella for a day, a ceremony in front of the Castle,
followed by an elegant reception nearby, would be about
the coolest thing imaginable.
Magic Kingdom ceremonies are limited to 50 guests and
have a location package fee of $25,000. The fee doesn't
include extra decorations, flowers, etc. It also doesn't
cover the reception. There are no receptions in the
park: Magic Kingdom weddings must hold their receptions
in the Grand Floridian Resort.
You will have little or no choice of dates, and your
ceremony must take place very early in the morning (8:00
am).
Disney's
Wedding Pavilion
The Wedding Pavilion has the atmosphere of a Victorian
chapel overlooking the Seven Seas Lagoon, with the Castle
in the background. It is a very elegant location and
the most private option for a ceremony. It is air-conditioned.
Ceremonies can be held at almost any hour of the day
or evening in the Wedding Pavilion. If you choose a
late evening ceremony, you may be able to time the ceremony
so that the fireworks are going off over the castle
just as you complete your vows.
At the Wedding Pavilion there are private areas for
the happy couple, should you wish to be traditional
and not see each other before the ceremony. If you want
to add videography to your package, this location is
pre-wired with cameras that cover everything, so there
will be no videographer underfoot. Cinderella's Carriage
can be used at this location.
Site rental fee is $3,000 plus 6.5% sales tax. The
fee includes an organist for the ceremony. The Pavilion
will seat up to 300 people.

BoardWalk
- Ballrooms
The advantage of using a ballroom is that you'll have
plenty of space. The disadvantage is that ballrooms
tend to be pretty "generic," so you may have
to spend a lot to dress the room up. Ceremonies can
be held at almost any hour of the day or evening in
ballroom locations.
Two of the most popular locations for ceremonies are
St. James and Marvin Gardens. There are also much
larger ballrooms at the BoardWalk Resort.
Site rental fee is $1,500 plus 6.5% sales tax. To see

BoardWalk
- Sea Breeze Point
The backdrop is the beautiful Crescent Lake and Disney's
Yacht Club resort. It's a phenomenal view, particularly
if you can get the last time slot of the day during
the winter (thus taking advantage of the early sunset
and the lights coming on around the lake).
This location is just off a busy walkway between the
International Gateway of Epcot and the BoardWalk Resort,
so it has zero privacy. It's perfect for anyone who
enjoys being the center of attention, because you can
expect lots of random people to stop on the sidewalk
and watch your ceremony. As the name of the location
indicates, it can get windy here.
A backup rain location is available in the BoardWalk
Convention Center. Cinderella's Carriage can be used
at this location.
Site rental fee is $2,000 plus 6.5% sales tax. Sea
Breeze Point is available for ceremonies with up to
80 guests.

Epcot
- China Pavilion
The China Pavilion is one of the most visually stunning
locations I can imagine for a ceremony. If you like
rich, colorful, exotic decor and you enjoy being "different"
in everything you do, this is the place for you! It's
truly fabulous.
As with all of the World Showcase locations, the China
Pavilion is available only for morning ceremonies that
end by 10:00 am. All talent performing within Epcot
must be secured by Walt Disney Entertainment through
your Event Coordinator. All floral and décor
items must be provided by Disney. Disney charter bus
transportation is required to use this venue, at a minimum
cost of $440 per bus (each bus carries about 47 people).
Site rental fee is $2,000 plus 6.5% sales tax. The
China Pavilion is available for ceremonies with up to
75 guests.

Epcot
- France
The courtyard around the fountain in France is a fabulously
romantic location for a ceremony. Ceremonies usually
take place in front of the fountain. You'll probably
need to have microphones to be heard over the rushing
water. The courtyard is somewhat "cut up"
by the fountain and various raised flower beds, so it's
not one big open space.
As with all of the World Showcase locations, France
is available only for morning ceremonies that end by
10:00 am. All talent performing within Epcot must be
secured by Walt Disney Entertainment through your Event
Coordinator. All floral and décor items must
be provided by Disney. Disney charter bus transportation
is required to use this venue, at a minimum cost of
$440 per bus (each bus carries about 47 people).
Site rental fee is $2,000 plus 6.5% sales tax. France
can accommodate large groups.

- Germany
Germany has a beautiful courtyard for a ceremony. If
you're thinking about a medieval or "fairy tale"
theme, this might work very well for you, since it has
that "olde worlde" look about it. The space
is nice and open.
As with all of the World Showcase locations, Germany
is available only for morning ceremonies that end by
10:00 am. All talent performing within Epcot must be
secured by Walt Disney Entertainment through your Event
Coordinator. All floral and décor items must
be provided by Disney. Disney charter bus transportation
is required to use this venue, at a minimum cost of
$440 per bus (each bus carries about 47 people).
Site rental fee is $2,000 plus 6.5% sales tax. Germany
can accommodate large groups.

- Italy Courtyard
The Italy Courtyard at Epcot is reminiscent of the
Piazza della Signoria in Florence. This dramatic location
is a perfect fit for anyone who wants to create a romantic
European atmosphere.
As with all of the World Showcase locations, Italy
Courtyard is available only for morning ceremonies that
end by 10:00 am.
Italy
Courtyard is available for ceremonies with up to 100
guests.

Epcot
- Italy Isola
If you'd like to be near the water, the Italy Isola
location would be a great choice. Your ceremony takes
place on an island edged by a "dock" decorated
with barber pole posts like those used for the gondolas
in Venice. With its lovely bridges, this location is
incredibly photogenic and has a truly Venetian flavor.
This location is not wheelchair accessible.
As with all of the World Showcase locations, Italy
Isola is available only for morning ceremonies that
end by 10:00 am. All talent performing within Epcot
must be secured by Walt Disney Entertainment through
your Event Coordinator. All floral and décor
items must be provided by Disney. Disney charter bus
transportation is required to use this venue, at a minimum
cost of $440 per bus (each bus carries about 47 people).
Site rental fee is $2,000, plus 20% service charge
and 6.5% sales tax. Italy Isola is available for ceremonies
with up to 75 guests.
Epcot - Japan
Usually the ceremony is held on a beautiful bamboo
bridge in the midst of a stunning Japanese garden. The
guests are clustered at the base of the hill, looking
up at the ceremony. It's very dramatic but not very
intimate, because you must wear microphones in order
for your guests to hear your vows, and the guests are
a significant distance away. However, MouseSavers.com
reader Jennifer Z reports, "we didn't like the
fact that the ceremony took place so far from our guests.
Our sales manager told us that he didn't think it'd
be a problem to have the ceremony set up down in front
of the koi pond with the guests, instead of on the bridge."
This would be a good option couples who want the backdrop
of the Japan pavilion but wish it were more intimate.
As with all of the World Showcase locations, Japan
is available only for morning ceremonies that end by
10:00 am. All talent performing within Epcot must be
secured by Walt Disney Entertainment through your Event
Coordinator. All floral and décor items must
be provided by Disney. Disney charter bus transportation
is required to use this venue, at a minimum cost of
$440 per bus (each bus carries about 47 people).
Site rental fee is $2,000 plus 6.5% sales tax. Japan
can accommodate large groups.

Epcot - United Kingdom
Definitely the most private location in World Showcase,
this space is in a courtyard back behind some of the
UK buildings. There is a pretty little gazebo/bandstand
that can be used for the ceremony, and you are surrounded
by a lovely English rose garden. It's pretty, sweet
and a little old-fashioned (in a good way!).
As with all of the World Showcase locations, UK is
available only for morning ceremonies that end by 10:00
am. All talent performing within Epcot must be secured
by Walt Disney Entertainment through your Event Coordinator.
All floral and décor items must be provided by
Disney. Disney charter bus transportation is required
to use this venue, at a minimum cost of $440 per bus
(each bus carries about 47 people).
Site rental fee is $2,000 plus 6.5% sales tax. UK is
available for ceremonies with up to 30 guests.

Grand Floridian - Ballrooms
The advantage of using a ballroom is that you'll have
plenty of space. The disadvantage is that ballrooms
tend to be pretty "generic," so you may have
to spend a lot to dress the room up. Ceremonies can
be held at almost any hour of the day or evening in
ballroom locations.
A particularly lovely location for weddings is the
Whitehall Room, an octagonal space that is not at all
a traditional ballroom. It has an elegant crystal chandelier
and an outdoor patio. There are also much larger ballrooms
at the Grand Floridian Resort.
Site rental fee is $1,500 plus 6.5% sales tax. To see

Yacht & Beach

Cape Cod Hall is particularly popular for weddings.
It can be used as one large room (capacity 240)
or broken up into as many as four sections (each
accommodating 60 people). There are also much
larger ballrooms at the Yacht & Beach Club
Resort.

Yacht Club - Wedding Gazebo
If you want "Victorian" surroundings but
don't want to spend the extra money for the Wedding
Pavilion, you may like this location. Set in a rose
garden, the gazebo is located in a quiet area of the
resort, surrounded on three sides by the hotel building.
(Due to the location, guests in the rooms surrounding
the gazebo can observe your ceremony from their balconies.)
The fourth side faces the lighthouse and marina of the
resort.
A backup rain location is available in the Yacht Club
Convention Center. Cinderella's Carriage can be used
at this location.
Site rental fee is $2,000 plus 6.5% sales tax. The
Wedding Gazebo is available for ceremonies with up to
100 guests.

Other Locations
While Disney does not publicize this fact, it's possible to pick other locations, including locations in the theme parks. You will pay extra for this and you'll have to work around park hours. Just a few of the alternative locations I've heard about include:
- The Summerhouse at Grand Floridian
- Muppets Courtyard at Disney's Hollywood Studios (formerly Disney-MGM Studios)
- The lawn at the BoardWalk Inn
- 50s Primetime Cafe at Disney's Hollywood Studios (formerly Disney-MGM Studios
