Walt Disney World is a great place to honeymoon, with 47 square miles of entertainment options, including four theme parks, two water parks, multiple golf courses, two districts of nightclubs and restaurants (Disney's BoardWalk and Downtown Disney), and over twenty fabulous themed hotels. Disney World is THE most popular honeymoon destination in the world!

Walt Disney World Honeymoon Registry

You can now register for a Disney honeymoon, allowing your guests to contribute toward the cost of your honeymoon as their wedding gift to you! You are not required to be married through the Disney Fairytale Weddings program to participate in the Disney Honeymoon registration.

This service is complimentary, and you can to book any type of Walt Disney World honeymoon, including a "room only" reservation, a DVC stay or a vacation package. You can reserve your honeymoon through a travel agent if you wish. You must have the vacation already booked in order to register it, and registration must occur at least 15 days prior to your arrival.

Although Disney encourages you to select specific experiences, meals and merchandise through the registry, you are not limited to spending the gift money on those items. Contributions made to your registry, even if "earmarked" by the giver for a certain purpose, are actually all credited in a lump sum onto a Disney Honeymoon Gift Card that can be applied to pretty much any vacation expense that would ordinarily be billed to your room key.

Disneyland Honeymoons

Disneyland is also a terrific place for a honeymoon, with a slightly more intimate feel -- you can spend just a few days in the parks and feel like you've done a lot! Because Disneyland Resort is relatively compact and a 4-day stay at the Anaheim theme parks will allow you to experience everything, it can also be the most economical option for a Disney honeymoon.

Disney Cruise Line Honeymoons

One of the most romantic possible options for a honeymoon is a cruise. Imagine exploring exotic ports, lying on a white sand beach, sampling divine cuisine and dancing until the wee hours with your new spouse.

Believe it or not, the Disney Cruise Line is a great option for a couple travelling without children. The ships have designated adult-only areas. Each ship has an adult-only swimming pool, upscale Northern Italian restaurant (Palo) for adults only, and multiple bars and lounges with different themes. In addition, Disney Cruise Line offers an incredibly beautiful and secluded adults-only beach on its private island, Castaway Cay.
